Practice before you take them to a reenactment! We fire them at above a 45 degree angle, and with the reenactor blank in a Springfield bolt-action rifle we get between 50-75 yards. Those more powerful government issue blanks might send your grenade into the next county, or over time, blow the end right off the grenade. These are designed to work with regular reenactor blanks, not the super-charged military issue blanks. In the main picture, the M9A1 Anti Tank (AT) grenade is 10.3 ounces (A= in olive drab, and the early war version in yellow C) The early version of the M9 AT is 8.3 ounces (E in the picture), and the M17 Anti Personnel (AP) grenade is 8.1 ounces (B in olive drab, and D early war yellow). The shaft is made of aluminum (inside diameter 27/32″), the fins are rubber as are the heads- so no metal edges should hit your enemy. These rifle grenades are excellent replicas of the originals, made of rubber and aluminum. ![]()
